Four Major Issues to Note During Machining at a CNC Machine Shop
CNC machine shops are primarily used to produce parts and components. However, many people are unaware of the issues to pay attention to when using a CNC machine shop, leading to unnecessary losses. Therefore, a CNC machining manufacturer will briefly introduce the matters needing attention during machining in a CNC machine shop.
Issues to note during machining at a CNC machine shop:
(1) Confirm the machining content to be performed by the CNC machining center, and verify the workpiece mounting datum, machining datum, machining allowance, etc., so as to arrange the machining process with the aim of fully utilizing the efficiency of the CNC machining center.
(2) For complex parts, because thermal deformation occurs during machining, internal stress develops after quenching, and the part may also deform after clamping, among other reasons, it is difficult to complete all operations in a single clamping. In this case, two or more clampings may be considered.
(3) When arranging the machining process, the principle of progressing from roughing to finishing should be followed. First, arrange heavy cutting and rough machining to remove the machining allowance on the blank, and then arrange operations with lower precision requirements.
(4) Adopt a high‑flow cooling method. To reduce the impact of the substantial heat generated during machining on machining accuracy, and to improve tool life, it is necessary to actively use a high‑flow cooling method.
The above four points are the issues to note during machining at a CNC machine shop. We hope they are helpful.
